Moscato di Sardegna may be produced from anywhere on the entire island, from Sulcis and Cagliari in the south to Gallura in the north, a distance of approximately 265 kilometers (175 mi).

As is clear from its title, Moscato di Sardegna wine is made from the widespread Muscat grape variety – to be more specific, it is made from one particular member of the complex Muscat family. In this case it is Moscato Bianco, the same variety found all over southern France as Muscat Blanc a Petit Grains.

Colour: intense golden yellow, tending to amber.


Nose: rich and complex, very aromatic, nose expresses an aroma of passionate acacia flowers, apricot jam, candied citrus fruit, and notes of sweet vanilla and spice for the finish.


Taste: silky smooth, soft, sumptuous and full bodied. A good sapidity balances the sweet sensations, and offers the taster a long-lasting finish of dried fruit, apricot, small roasted fruits and delicate spices.


Grapes: 100% Moscato.


Serving temperature: 10-12 °C.


Serve with: perfect in combination with herbed and seasoned cheeses, also goes well with biscuits.
